Dan Woodman, Founder of Leading Labor, writing again today. I want to tell you about our communication portion of the Labor Rising program, which has been a huge success in class. (It’s probably the only time anyone teaching a class is actually telling the attendees to get their phones out.) Rather than bore you with a lot of text about the platform, I decided to create a video that allows you some interaction. Condensing down a 2 hour presentation into a few minutes of video is no easy task, though. There’s so much potential in this platform that I don’t want to leave anything out.
We’ve combined three proven areas of technology – mass texting, mass e-mail, and smartphone apps. Alone, any of these can help improve your communication with your membership. When combined, these can revolutionize your communication. In a 5 minute video, which we will post on Thursday the 6th, there isn’t time to cover one of these in depth, let alone all three. (It’s a very interactive part of the class, with a lot of Q&A.) Most locals I have worked with tend to have their members’ phone numbers, so the texting platform is the logical place to begin. This is not pie in the sky technology that you have to wait a year to get implemented. This platform is ready to go right now. In fact, I’m going to share a video with you that actually allows you to interact with the texting platform in real time! You can see how it works and what it can do.
